Just to let you know I received one of the standard spammy emails from someone who supposedly wanted to buy my scope, using an international courier and some kind of money transfer scam- the usual thing.

The name given was Daniel Joel, and the address danieljoel1900@yahoo.com

Takahashi kit. Most are characterised by

1) 24 hour listings.
2) Only contact is through an external e-mail address (basically a high
jacked eBay account).
3) Payment through Western Union.
4) Prices too good to be true. 14" RC meades for £700.

They also now have a fake eBay sign in screen that you get to after
clicking on a URL for more details. I suspect they are using these
hijacked logons to launch more and more fake auctions.

Always, always, always check the URL before entering your name and
password. The current one being used is in Russia, though it could be
anywhere.

How are you doing.Hope everything is going fine on your side.As a matter fact the deal is on and according to my secretary,he has already sent the cheque out to you(it will arrive by mail).So the payment should arrive in a short while from now.And once you get it,i guess you know how to handle everything.And please dont bother about any other buyer i beleive everything will soon work out as plan.

But there was a little problem which i guess we can handle with understanding.When i contacted my secretary to know maybe the cheque as already been sent ,i got to know that there was a misinterpretation while sending the cheque.According to the instruction i gave him,he was suppose to have sent you a cheque of £150 .But instead,he sent a cheque of (£2,500).It was a terrible mistake and the cheque is already out for delivery to your location.He claimed that he thougth i said he should send you a cheque of £2,500 (which was the total sum including the shipping ) and not just £150.But i know very well i told him to send just £150 but i guess he didnt get it straigth.
