bordura - titibordura@yahoo.com, claims to be from London, England. The IP address is from Glasgow, Scotland
titoashca - titoashca@aol.com, claims to be from Glasgow, England (which makes no sense). The IP address is from the USA
dendrino - dendrino@gmail.com, claims to be from Kirkwall, UK. The IP address is from Cardiff, Wales
pistolcuapa - pistolcuapa@aol.com, claims to be from Douglas, Isle of Man. The IP address is from the USA
bowline51 - bowline51@yahoo.com, claims to be from London, England. The IP address is from the USA

The items posted for sale were a TAKAHASHI TOA130s w/accessories, Tak102TSA & TOA130 Binoscopes, Meade 10-inch LX200 GPS and Meade 12-inch LX200.
Be watchful because these crooks change their aliases and email addresses daily.

Fake eBay Auctions

There are a large number of fake auctions on eBay for high end Meade and
Takahashi kit. Most are characterised by

1) 24 hour listings.
2) Only contact is through an external e-mail address (basically a high
jacked eBay account).
3) Payment through Western Union.
4) Prices too good to be true. 14" RC meades for £700.

They also now have a fake eBay sign in screen that you get to after
clicking on a URL for more details. I suspect they are using these
hijacked logons to launch more and more fake auctions.

Always, always, always check the URL before entering your name and
password. The current one being used is in Russia, though it could be
anywhere.

How are you doing.Hope everything is going fine on your side.As a matter fact the deal is on and according to my secretary,he has already sent the cheque out to you(it will arrive by mail).So the payment should arrive in a short while from now.And once you get it,i guess you know how to handle everything.And please dont bother about any other buyer i beleive everything will soon work out as plan.

But there was a little problem which i guess we can handle with understanding.When i contacted my secretary to know maybe the cheque as already been sent ,i got to know that there was a misinterpretation while sending the cheque.According to the instruction i gave him,he was suppose to have sent you a cheque of £150 .But instead,he sent a cheque of (£2,500).It was a terrible mistake and the cheque is already out for delivery to your location.He claimed that he thougth i said he should send you a cheque of £2,500 (which was the total sum including the shipping  ) and not just £150.But i know very well i told him to send just £150 but i guess he didnt get it straigth.

But that should not disturb our own transaction.the deal is on and we will get through it.what will happen is that ,once you get the cheque you will easily forward the extra(£2,350) directly to me in cash immediately.it can be sent via western union Transfer.Originally,i had in mind to collect the money from him and use the money to pay the shipper and to also fix some other things personally.But since,its now coming to you now,i guess i can be assured in you that you can handle it with trust and have it sent to me.hope all is well.mail me back immediately,to let me know that i can trust you to handle everything well.I will be expecting your mail asap.

The following is a classic example of a fraudulent offer to buy equipment:

rate. Goods to be picked up from your location for onward shipping to us.
Cost and modalities of shipping to be born by us.

Payment for the purchase is by cheque through a debtor in London. The debtor
 owes us higher  than your asking prize. He will therefore be sending you a
cheque for 6,000 Pounds Stering to cover the cost of our order, as well as
the Shipping costs.

On receipt of the cheque, you will cash and deduct the cost of our purchase
.The balance you will send as we would instruct you to the Agency that will
ship the Goods to us. If this arrangement suites you fine, please send us
your address where to send the cheque, as well as the name to be on it. Also
send us your phone number for easy communication.
