The following set of 6 aurora photos were taken on June 8, 1991 near Tweed, Ontario. The
exposures were between 20 and 30 seconds each, using a 45mm f2.8 lens and a "cheap" 100 ISO film.
On the second image, the three brighter objects are Venus (brightest), Jupiter, and Mars (faintest).
Visually the aurora was not as red as the pictures show it. It seems like the film I used had very good red
sensitivity! To the human eye the aurora was mostly green with some hints of pale red.
