I have been given a most wonderful scope (thank you Chris) and a brilliant wide angled 20mm lens and 2x Barlow (thank you Richard) I have some wonderful lenses. Thank you Kenneth. I now have a set of filters. Thank you Paul. I Now have the solar film. Thank you George (sorry for the late reply. Just returned from Guys Hospital London after an operation) Thank you all for your amazing responses, donations and again for your help. Gary Isaac's story I popped to school the other day to see my grandson on a parents coffee morning. While there I met a young man called Isaac. He told me all about the planets, in order, and told me his daddy was now a star. His father is a British Armed Forces hero having died for his country in Afghanistan. I am ex-forces (army - Royal Signals) myself and am lucky enough to be able to collect my war pension in person. His wife doesn't know I'm doing this and is a lovely lady who now spends her time helping those less fortunate than herself. Isaac has a small telescope, the sort that you could barely see the moon with and can double as a microscope so he has struggled and has never seen a planet through it. Do you have a scope, hopefully a goto, or other equipment that is working that you no longer want and would be willing to donate? If so then please get in touch with me. I can show his mum how to set it up and it really would get used. There will be no big fanfare or pictures in a press. The only thing I can offer would be a massive thank you and gratitude for doing, like his dad, a selfless act. Thank you so much for reading this and your time and support is very much appreciated.
