Asking price includes UK postage. The fixing hardware is designed to attach the equipment to a Tele Vue “Gibraltar Mount”. With ingenuity it can be adapted to fit many mounts. I have been using it on a Beacon Hill Dobsonian. The operating guide explains how to change the settings in the Sky Tour to work with both equatorial and Dobsonian mounts. The Sky Tour has databases of celestial objects including Messier and a selection of NGC & IC objects. Also, 25 objects of your choice can be entered into a ‘favourites’ list. The photograph shows the Sky Tour display in the “encoder test” function. The cable to the RA (or azimuth) encoder has an in-line junction box. This facilitates adding an extra length of (4-core) cable if a custom installation requires it. This equipment retails in the USA for around $700, or around $600 when on offer. Importing it from the USA will add credit card overseas transaction fees, postage, import duty, 20% VAT, Customs clearance fees and a Royal Mail handling fee.
