SW 130P Newt on EQ2 With Extras
Postage £20 via ParcelForce

The 130/650 F5 Newt is a brilliant scope and many imagers use the "PDS" version because of its wider field of view than the 150 and 200 models and high portability. Upgrading this scope would simply be a case of replacing the focuser but as the scope is priced to sell and perfect "as is" for visual use and use with a webcam, I've left the existing 1.25" rack & pinion focuser in place.

Optics on the scope are clean and bright (see images) and the red dot finder has been swapped out for a 30mm finder. The usual 25mm, 10mm and 2x Barlow are included, as is the EQ2 mount with slow motion controllers, counterweight and bar. The mount can be upgraded to include the single speed or multi speed RA drive if you wanted to use it as a starter imaging scope or simply want to to track across the sky.

I've put some Thousand Oaks Film on the inside of the dust cap under the small off axis opening, so the scope can safely be used for solar viewing (don't uncover the guide scope) and although the collimation was pretty good already, I've tightened it up and got it spot on. I've also popped a basic moon filter in with it too.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I bought this off someone because it was sitting in a corner gathering dust and had only ever been half assembled - I had to put the legs on the tripod to take the photos!! I paid what I think was a fair price for it and am asking for a fair price back. I'm not making a profit but rather trying to get an unwanted and unused scope out there and collecting photons. There are some marks on the counterweight bar where someone has twisted the weight and it's dug a circle in to the bar, but they are mainly covered by the weight.

I do have a SkyWatcher box that it will be packaged in to (with lots of bubblewrap etc) but it's not the original so if you are buying this for someone else, please be aware of that.

Price: £110 Currently selling through a retailer who advertises on here for £150 plus postage without the upgrades and extras.

I've quoted £20 for postage via ParcelForce, although it's actually closer to £24 but I'll cover the difference. Postage will be at the buyer's risk.

Payment: Cash on collection or PayPal plus fees.

I am open to offers but please remember that any difference between what I'm asking and what you offer is coming directly out of my pocket so please don't take the...... errrr....... mickey...... These are great little scopes on a good mount and I just want it to go to a home where it will get some use.
Price: £110
