Wanted Status: Active  Ad Category: Select Category  Ad # 133144 Messier/Herschel Long shot, but has anyone out there got a copy of any of the following appers they wish to dispose of. 1) The French almanac 'Connoissance des Temps' for the year (pour l'Annee) 1784, published in 1781 (this is sometimes mistakenly called the 'Connaissance des temps')? This has a Moon engraving and a Messier Catalogue contained within. 2) Phil Trans for 1781 with Herschel's 'Account of a Comet' with 3 plates. 3) Phil Trans 1895 Pt II with the description of Herschel's 40 feet reflector with the 19 plates.
