LUNT LS60 THa B1200 Solar Scope with 2" Crayford Focuser - only two months old, like new.

This scope is only two months old in like new condition. It comes in it's excellent metal case as supplied and includes all the original packing and paperwork. In addition it has been fitted with a Televue Sol Finder.
Lovely bright and contrasty views, great surface detail and the image is imposed on a lovely black background. Dead easy to take photos with your DSLR, just attach your camera with T Adapter to the threaded blocking filter and away you go, easily comes to focus, nothing else needed. Also excellent for CCD and video imaging. Need some cash for other purposes so it has to go.
As supplied this would cost you £1330. This one is yours for £1100 and ready to go. Carriage extra if not collected.
I will consider trades for items that are in good condition and saleable so I can recoup some cash.

William Optics Megrez 2 SD. Vixen GPE mount with Polar Scope, retro fitted with a Go To Star GOTO system plus a Mintron 12V6HC-EX

The William Optics Megrez 2 SD 80mm near APO refractor includes a diagonal prism, errecting prism, eyepiece and carrying ruck sack. The GPE mount is fitted with a Vixen finderscope, 6kg counter weight and is mounted on a solid wooden tripod supplied with the mount.

The GOTO system is effectively identical to the Ioptron GOTONOVA retrofit kit as supplied by Altair Astro, but branded "IDEA" rather than Ioptron. I think that IDEA are actually the manufacturer of both. The dc drive motors are a little noisy during full speed slew but pretty quite during tracking. The hand set is very intuitive to use.

The Mintron 12V6HC-EX video camera is fitted with a focal reducer, Astronomik CLS filter and 1.25" nosepiece adaptor. Also two CCTV lenses are supplied.

Extras include 9" Hitachi B/W monitor, a 2.5" LCD monitor for alignment pointing checks, all relevant cables, PSU's and connectors.

Due to the replies to my advert (see No 44695) 3 combined schools in the village of Dulverton in Devon now have a splendid 6 inch Newtonian with an equatorial mount to start their new Astronomy club. Thank you very much Peter Bowers from the Bath area for this splendid gift.I have also received a fine 60mm refractor which will shortly be going to a space mad child. Many of us have long unused telescopes etc resting in various places,indeed as I once did and I came to realise that many children would love to have a telescope but this item is often low on parents lists of essential items to purchase.Since I started this scheme telescopes etc have been given to many children . If you have an unused telescope resting somewhere there are many kids who would love to have it and if they grow tired of we expect it to be returned to us so that it may be checked out and passed on yet again If you are able to help to promote our hobby in this matter with unwanted scopes,mounts or eyepieces please get in touch We currently need a simple altaz mount for the 60mm refractor. We never sell the items we get and they all go to good homes where perhaps lives a future Astronomer Royal or even a new Carl Sagan.
