Wanted Clavé (Paris) Eyepieces & Accessories, all will be considered.

I will consider any of The Clavé eyepieces and accessories.

I will consider all eyepieses in any focal length in the 1 1/4\" the 27mm the 2\" & 50mm barrel (coulant) fittings.

I am particularly keen to find the 4mm fl and 30mm fl Clavé eyepieces.

They must be optically good but marks on the body and barrel (coulant) are not a problem to me.

Basically I will consider all Clavé Ep\'s the Barlow or other Clavé items

Meade LX200 10\" F10 SCT Classic with 2\" Diagonal (EMC Model) ** REDUCED **

This is a 6 year old LX200 10\" F10 SCT Classic telescope on a field tripod bought from new. It comes with a flexible dew shield, locater plate, 2\" diagonal, mains adapter, handbook and original box.

The mirror has 3 tiny areas where the coating has marks. I only do visual observing and there is no issue. I have lowered the asking price accordingly anyway. One of the images shows two of the marks. Note that these have not got any worse in the last year.

The corrector plate is very clean and has no issues.

The scope has a 65,000 object library and 9 slew speeds so getting around the sky is very quick. Locating objects is a doddle using the 2 or 3 star alignment process described in the handbook.

Reason for sale is that I have moved onto a 4\" APO refractor and can\'t afford to keep both.

This is an excellent telescope for someone who wants some aperture and a GOTO scope.

Wanted: A Unitron or Polarex!

I know, a longshot at best.

However, if there is one going unused somewhere, I\'d be very happy to provide it with a good home. I understand these were sold by a UK retailer with the branding Opticron Polarex. I\'d be interested to hear from anyone who has anything like either of these they\'re interested in moving on.

The top one pictured is not necessarily the model I\'m looking for. It\'s a fully (& seriously) loaded 4\" (I think). I\'d prefer a simpler one....ideally an 80mm (lower picture), but will consider any reasonably priced example, in any state of repair (or disrepair). Thanks to Harald for letting me use his pictures.

Van Slyke MasterGlide 2" Crayford focuser

I've upgraded to a 3" unit so I'm selling my Van Slyke 2" Crayford focuser.

The ingenious springs allow for very smooth action without needing to use brakes or other focus locks to hold very heavy loads even at the zenith. This focuser doesn't slip even with a 2" diagonal, 2X Barlow and Nagler 31T5 hanging out of it. There's also a pocket in the draw tube for holding a Meade or Celestron focal reducer.

The focuser is threaded to fit directly on the 3.25" back of a Meade 10, 12 or 14" SCT. I also have an adapter which allows it to be attached to Van Slyke's Zerotator (highly recommended) available for an extra £47, and an adapter to attach the Zerotator to Meade's 16" SCT for £95. (I'm using the Zerotator with my new 3" focuser, so it's not for sale.)

There's some surface tarnish on the outside of the bearings, their support shafts, and the motor bracket screws, but it's only cosmetic (see the pictures). The unit is in perfect working order. This is the manual version, but you can get either servo- or stepper-motorization kits from Van Slyke (www.observatory.org).

Price inclues shipping to mainland UK. (Ireland probably cheaper; other areas probably a bit more.)

As New - Meade ETX125 and accessories

Hi

I have the following for sale - I now have 4 scopes and one has to regrettably go!

Meade ETX125 UHTC/tripod - this scope is "as new" having been replaced under warranty and then not used. Its about 3 years old. It has been kept indoors in a hardcase so is in fantastic condition. I doubt you would know the difference from a new one if it were sat alongside. I have all the original packaging and box. If you are looking for one of these you are probably already familiar with what a great scope this and and its capabilities, so I'll avoid listing all the features here. Suffice to say it comes with everything that the new scope did - Autostar, 26mm EP, manual... -

The tripod is the Deluxe Meade Tripod for ETX125 scope - has had some use (with the first scope) but still in very good condition. Comes with blue Meade soft case.

These two together originally cost over £1000. Offers over £400 considered. Would prefer collection or meetup (I am located near Cambridge) as the scope is quite heavy and bulky. If someone is serious and wants a shipping cost then please let me know.

Dewshield for ETX125 - in black and in great condition. Slides back onto scope OTA when not in use. £10

Erecting diagnol (#932 45degrees) - this corrects the viewing for terrestial use. Very good condition. These cost £43 new today - though I am sure I paid a lot more for it originally! So am selling for £25 ono

Meade hard case - foam lined, black case designed to hold and completely protect ETX125 with room for accessories. This cost £125 originally and is also in good condition. For sale at £75ono (excl delivery)

Grade A glass solar filter for ETX 125 - this securely fits on the end of the scope and allows the sun to be viewed. As new - used just once. Comes with all original packaging and documentation. Paid £100, and will let it go for £40 + P&P

Made this machin to grind and polish 20cm mirrors. I am not able to complete it properly, although it is able to make mirrors as it is, A bit of extra simple work will complete it. A drill and simple hand tools is all that's needed. I spent over £180 making it. The £25 is to stop those who want something for nothing.
Can be seen running. A new "stand" for it made of wood is advised. size of top is 60cm square. Collection advised.

Parallax rings for Meade 16" SCT

I've got a pair of excellent condition Parallax rings for the 16" for sale. These are a great way to mount the OTA on a GEM -- much more rigid and stable than a Losmandy dovetail plate (I tried both). The rings have the Losmandy hole pattern on top and the Astro-Physics pattern on the bottom. I also added drilled and tapped holes for mounting a Meade finder bracket.

Price is £235 + shipping. I prefer PayPal (no fee). I have excellent feedback on both AstroMart and CloudyNights.

William Optics 80mm Zenithstar II ED Apo + Extras

William Optics 80mm Zenithstar II ED Doublet APO, 1:10 2" focuser, 2" extension tube, 1.25" adapter, tube rings, tripod L bracket, and William Optics case.

80mm, F/6.8, f 545mm, excellent condition, Optics A1, fantastic colour correction and contrast. I've added Protostar flocking material (low tack so easy to remove if you don't want it) to the first inch of the internal baffles to help contrast further. Great visually and for imaging - this wee scope can really punch above it's weight (see pics taken with a webcam).

Comes to focus with webcams, focal reducers (I've been using a x0.5 Atik) and binoviewers. However, my high mag eyepieces needed an additional extension tube to come to focus (not included but cheap to source).

Case has some bumps and marks but nothing major.

Looking for £240 including postage. Paypal +4%.

Meade LXD55 Mount with Tripod, Autostar and Handset Holder

This is the LXD55 mount head (fully working with motors and polar alignment scope). Also comes with the tripod and accessory tray and one counterweight only. Complete with Autostar Handset with an added extra - a Handset Holder attached to the tripod (makes working with the handset much more convenient).

There is also a Meade battery holder (takes 8 D cells) and I probably have some spare batteries for the mount and polar scope which I'll throw in as well.

I no longer have a requirement for this as I have upgraded to a larger mount.

Not sure how much shipping would be so would be better to collect, however I can get prices if requested.
